West-Wings Supermarine Spitfire

The last in the line of the most famous fighter of them all. Many say these latter marks are not true Spitfires, but a quick glance by most tells you that she's all Spitfire and worthy of the name. The West Wings Spitfire is a great model that has undoubted 'Spitfire' presence and combines that with superb flying performance. So many lightweight models of Spitfires fail to emulate the true outlines that we know and love. The West Wings 'Spit' has it all, even down to radiators, cam cover bulges, carburettor scoop and accurate spinner outline.

This is a rubber power kit, but with micro R/C now available - do you fancy an R/C conversion ?

The model pictured below can be seen at Steve Webb Models, in the upstairs show room. It's been built by Steve's dad Fred and represents the Civil Spitfire G -Fire, with slight modifications. A more conventional Spitfire also by Steve's dad can be seen in the background!

Aerographic Avro 504

The good old Avro 504 RAF trainer is here in model form. Aerographics kits have earned a well deserved reputation amongst real modellers for quality, originality and authenticity.

These are definitely not toys. We would decribe them as miniature aircraft that fly superbly well and give considerable satisfaction and pleasure during construction.

Most of the skills required for model aircraft construction and model flying can be learnt from these kits. When well made they provide a model aeroplane that looks good and flys good.

The range is varied across many types and scales. Most being rubber powered with the option to fit small electric motors and gear boxes like the KP01 or the Falcon Models power units. Some show options for Co2 motors

The Komet and the Lightning can be flown as catapult gliders or they can be powered by a Jet-X 50 motor or similar rocket propulsion
